The onsen resort is in a beautiful location with a natural grotto setting for the outdoor bath. The traditional Japanese-style tatami rooms with sleeping mats create an authentic experience. The kaiseki meals served in the restaurant were excellent, with many small courses.
The hotel only offers wifi in the lobby/public areas, which may be inconvenient for some guests.

Had an amazing Christmas experience at a traditional onsen resort. The outdoor bath was outstanding, with a natural grotto setting and natural hot spring. The meals served in the restaurant were excellent, with many small courses. The location was perfect for those having their own transport and the owner advised they are open year-round. Had a very Japanese experience.
Wi-Fi only worked in public areas, but it was fast, so not really a big problem.

The traditional Japanese-style tatami rooms were quite interesting to experience. Sleeping mats on the floor might take some time to get adjusted to, but they were comfortable. The restaurant served excellent Japanese meals with many small courses. The natural grotto setting and abundant flow from a natural hot spring was a great way to relax.
The location was inconvenient and only suitable for people who have their own transport. The hotel is approximately 8 km down the road from the bus station, where there are infrequent buses.
